Winning photos from my camera club competition

I've been a member of the Castle Craig Camera Club for a couple of years now.  At the end of our "season" we host an awards program.  Below are a few of my award winning photos from this 2024-2025 season.

Willis Cone Flower Award

This is a memorial award given for the best flower photo of the year.  I took this photo on a club outing at the Quinnipiac River State Park.  These flowers are in bloom only for about a week each year.

Photo of the Year - 2nd Place

This was shot at the renowned Kiphuth Exhibition Pool at Yale University for the CT State Open Swimming Championships.

CT Special Events

As the name implies, submissions for this award had to be a special event in CT.  This was the CIAC Class LL Boys Soccer Championship.  Xavier fell to Farmington.  The title of this photo was "The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat" as the Xavier athlete sits contemplating in the middle of the field while the Farmington athletes celebrate in the background.

Winning photos from 2025 Durham Fair Photography Contest

I'm thrilled and blessed to say that each of my three submissions in the popular Durham Fair Photography Contest placed this year.
